Recipe of the day: Venison Jelly
You'll need:
1 peck wild grapes
1 quart vinegar
1/2 cup whole cloves
1/2 cup stick cinnamon
6 pounds sugar
1. Put first 4 ingredients into preserving kettle, heat slowly to boiling point, and cook until grapes are soft.
2. Strain through double thickness of cheesecloth or jelly bag, and boil liquid 20 minutes; then add sugar, heated, and boil 5 minutes.
3. Turn into glasses.
